Starting Situation

How do I promote a product whose benefits I'm not allowed to discuss? This was the question we faced at the beginning of our collaboration with Maorika. Manuka honey, originating from New Zealand, is said to have healing properties. However, since these are not medically confirmed, they can hardly be communicated in advertising. This is also why Maorika had unfortunately never managed to make its social ads profitable in the past.

Approach

Our solution: UGC concepts that explain the product in a way that doesn't cross any legal boundaries, yet still highlights its benefits. All within a framework that contains no health claims. These were to be supplemented by innovative animations and impactful statics focusing on building social proof.

Result

And the results are impressive! What no one had achieved before, we accomplished in close collaboration: making the ads profitable. More than 400 creatives have since been tested, over 20 creators deployed, and a creative output of +240% compared to the previous year was achieved.
